Summary 0000012: give bonus energy for killing robots
Description This has been proposed and discussed on RBML many times. At one point, most people agree that this would be a good feature to encourage more aggressive behavior.

The approach that seems the best is to provide a bonus to only the robot that made the kill, but make that bonus amount proportional to the total amount of damage the killing robot did to the robot it killed. This would enourage robots to kill eachother and also limit the gains to robots that just snipe heavily damaged robots.
Additional Information Should be easy to implement using new statistics info.

I don't know about energy but extra points might be good.

I don't fancy the idea of extra points.
I like the idea of gained energy even less.
Perhaps there could be a cookie in the place of killed bot.
Actually I might have it excatly as it is now.

The contest holder could actually do this by announcing that he will be using the _killstorobots array as the scores and telling people to send in aggressive bots. "AKILKO", All Killers In Last Killer Out. ;)
